MEET THE FOUNDATION
George Dorling – Chair

I am a retired Health and Safety manager who spent many years working in industry whilst at the same time being involved at a very high level in football. I refereed but was also Chair of the London Football Association as well as a Council member of the Football Association. During this period, I chaired the FA Cups Committee including the FA Trophy and Vase. On a local level I was an Executive Committee member and youth worker at Barkingside Jewish Youth Centre and through this sat on the Executive Committee of the Association for Jewish Youth. Currently I am also a governor at a primary school in Epping. When the opportunity arose to become involved as Chair of the Clore Tikva Foundation I decided to put my many skills and dedication into that role. This is an enormous job to ensure the future stability of Clore Tikva School, but one I hope to be able to work towards.
Claire Hartley - Vice Chair

I am Claire Hartley, Vice Chair of the CTSF. I live locally with my husband and 4 children who attend Clore Tikva and have thrived academically, socially and emotionally in our very special school.
I was raised locally and my family has for many years, been involved with the progressive Jewish movement - we are members of Oaks Lane Reform Synagogue.
My background is fundraising and I am passionate about the pluralist values of Clore Tikva and the important role we play in the local community.
John Morrison - Trustee
John Morrison was there when it all began! He’s worked tirelessly both as a Trustee and Chair of the charity for 20 years. He has decided to step down as Chair, but will remain a Trustee for the next year. John is central to our rolling building upgrades and renewal program.
Rabbi David Hulbert - Trustee
David is the longest serving Rabbi in Redbridge having served as a Rabbi and now Emeritus Rabbi at Barkingside Progressive Synagogue, now merged with Woodford Liberal Synagogue to form The East London and Essex Liberal Synagogue. It was Rabbi Hulbert`s concept to form a Pluralistic Jewish school open to all Jewish children no matter how their parents prayed, he has been with us throughout. He is one of our active Rabbonim who maintain our links to our local Progressive Jewish community. Progressive being in this instance a collective term for the area`s vibrant Liberal, Masorti and Reform Synagogues.
