In recognition of Rosh Hashanah, Year 6 pupils prepared honey cakes as part of their Ivrit studies. The recipe was taught in Ivrit, providing a meaningful link between language learning and cultural tradition. Each pupil then took a cake home to share with their family.

  • Special Visit from AJEX Members Josh and Ashli!

Wed 18 Jun 2025 Mrs Saville

We were delighted to welcome Josh and Ashli from AJEX (The Association of Jewish Ex-Servicemen and Women), who came to speak to the Year 5 and 6 children about their important roles in the military.

Josh and Ashli shared some fascinating facts about their jobs and gave us a unique insight into what life is like serving in the armed forces. The children were full of curiosity and had the wonderful opportunity to ask lots of thoughtful questions.

It was an inspiring and educational visit—thank you, Josh and Ashli, for spending time with us and helping us learn more about service, dedication, and teamwork!

  • Seder

    Fri 04 Apr 2025

In the past two weeks every child from Nursery to Year 6 experienced a mock seder. With added extras from a story with Dubi the bear in Nursery, the re-enactment of the Exodus as well as the culmination of the Year 6 Haggadah project where the children used the school Haggadah alongside the ones they made in the style of the Barcelona Illuminated Haggadah. It has been a wonderful fortnight full of tradition and community with parents invited to attend each seder.

Wishing you all a very Happy Passover - Chag Sameach

  • World Book day!

    Fri 21 Mar 2025

A very successful Clore Tikva Book Day!

Clore Tikva enjoyed another fantastic Book Day. All children came into school in pyjamas and they enjoyed a warm cup of hot chocolate while listening to stories being read to them by different members of staff.

All children then took part in a scavenger hunt where they had to guess who the teacher was hidden behind the books! They also took part in a book swap where they were able to take a book from a friend.

Finally, we had our Public Speaking Competition final. The children wrote the most amazing speeches with the title, "Anyone can be a superhero."

We were blown away by the quality of the speeches but we would like to say a huge congratulations to Deondre and Henri for their winning entries.

  • Year 5 & 6 - Circulatory system

Fri 28 Feb 2025 Mrs Saville

As part of our topic on the Circulatory system in Years 5 and 6, we were very fortunate to welcome Professor Dvorkin, Consultant Surgeon, to Clore Tikva. He spoke to the children about the structure and function of the heart.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to Professor Dvorkin for taking the time to come into school and demonstrate the heart dissection. It was a fascinating and invaluable experience that really deepened our understanding of the subject. Your expertise and clear explanations made the session both engaging and educational.
