Attendance
At Clore Tikva School, we take pride in maintaining excellent attendance, as it is crucial for supporting pupils' academic progress.
If your child needs to be absent due to illness, please inform us promptly.
You can either call the office at 020 8551 1097 and leave a message on the school answer machine or email us at absence@cloretikva.redbridge.sch.uk. Be sure to include your child's name, class, and the reason for their absence. This information is vital to avoid recording the absence as unauthorised.
In addition, we ask that you notify us as soon as possible on the first day of your child's illness. Consistent communication helps us ensure the safety and well-being of all our students.
Where possible, medical appointments should be scheduled outside of school hours. However, if your child has a medical or dental appointment during the school day, please inform the school office in advance with a note. Ensure that you or an adult collects your child, as we do not permit children to leave school unaccompanied. The adult collecting your child should report to the reception upon arrival and sign your child out when they leave the premises.
Leave of Absence
At Clore Tikva School, we emphasise the importance of uninterrupted learning, and therefore, children are not permitted to take holidays during term time. Taking time off for holidays during the school term disrupts the educational progress and continuity of learning. We ask that you plan family holidays during the designated school holiday times to ensure your child does not miss valuable time. Unauthorised absences due to holidays taken during term time may result in a penalty notice.
For all holidays/long breaks you are required to fill out the form below AT LEAST FOUR (4) WEEKS before the requested period of absence is to begin.
Leave Of Absence Form
The Local Authority has provided the school with the following guidelines:
- Each request for term-time absence will be evaluated on an individual basis. However, taking time off for family holidays is not an entitlement and will not be authorised.
- The school may, in exceptional circumstances, approve absences if they believe the situation warrants it.
