On his recent trip to Israel, our Shinshin, Nadav, placed notes our pupils wrote into the Western Wall. May all their hopes, dreams and prayers be heard and answered.
Tu B'Shevat
For Tu B'Shevat, the Jewish New Year for Trees, the children wore green. Livneh (Year 4) gave a wonderful performance in celebration of Tu B’Shevat 2025 – Just One Tree. Tu B’Shevat, also known as the New Year for Trees, is a special time to reflect on the importance of nature, environmental responsibility, and the role trees play in sustaining life on our planet.
Through songs, poem, and creative performances, the children highlighted the significance of planting and caring for trees, reminding us all of our duty to protect the environment. Trees not only provide us with oxygen, shade, and food but also help combat climate change and support wildlife.
This celebration was a meaningful way to inspire young minds about the importance of sustainability and caring for the world around us. Well done to Mrs Bendon for their fantastic efforts!

EYFS Challah Bake!
On Thursday 30th January, to mark the completion of the topic of Shabbat, the children and parents of Nursery and Reception took part in a Challah Bake. It was a wonderful afternoon with all children taking part, mixing and stirring, kneading and plaiting. And while the challah was rising Mrs Bendon and Dubi the bear read a Shabbat story and sang songs with the children and parents.
There was a really special atmosphere in the hall, with smiles on everyone’s faces. The children left with their challah ready to bake in the oven for them to enjoy on Shabbat with their families.
Two of our pupils were lucky enough to visit the Kotel (Western Wall) in Jerusalem last summer. Farah and Mila Shalom were going to Israel for a family wedding. Farah asked her classmates to write messages which she took to Israel with her and placed in the stones of the Kotel. How wonderful that each and every prayer, hope or wish that her friends made were placed in such a holy and special place for Jews.
