  • Year 5 & 6 - Circulatory system

Fri 28 Feb 2025 Mrs Saville

As part of our topic on the Circulatory system in Years 5 and 6, we were very fortunate to welcome Professor Dvorkin, Consultant Surgeon, to Clore Tikva. He spoke to the children about the structure and function of the heart.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to Professor Dvorkin for taking the time to come into school and demonstrate the heart dissection. It was a fascinating and invaluable experience that really deepened our understanding of the subject. Your expertise and clear explanations made the session both engaging and educational.

  • Tu B'Shevat

    Fri 14 Feb 2025

    Tu B'Shevat

For Tu B'Shevat, the Jewish New Year for Trees, the children wore green. Livneh (Year 4) gave a wonderful performance in celebration of Tu B’Shevat 2025 – Just One Tree. Tu B’Shevat, also known as the New Year for Trees, is a special time to reflect on the importance of nature, environmental responsibility, and the role trees play in sustaining life on our planet.

Through songs, poem, and creative performances, the children highlighted the significance of planting and caring for trees, reminding us all of our duty to protect the environment. Trees not only provide us with oxygen, shade, and food but also help combat climate change and support wildlife.

This celebration was a meaningful way to inspire young minds about the importance of sustainability and caring for the world around us. Well done to Mrs Bendon for their fantastic efforts!

  • EYFS Challah Bake!

    Tue 04 Feb 2025

On Thursday 30th January, to mark the completion of the topic of Shabbat, the children and parents of Nursery and Reception took part in a Challah Bake. It was a wonderful afternoon with all children taking part, mixing and stirring, kneading and plaiting. And while the challah was rising Mrs Bendon and Dubi the bear read a Shabbat story and sang songs with the children and parents.

There was a really special atmosphere in the hall, with smiles on everyone’s faces. The children left with their challah ready to bake in the oven for them to enjoy on Shabbat with their families.
