Reading

We have class guided reading lesson, which gives all children the support to read with each other. So far we have read “Smasher” by Dick King Smith and we are currently reading “Coming to England” by Floella Benjamin. We encourage all of the children to develop a love of reading and ask the class to keep their home reading record up to date. Once children have completed a book they have activities to complete to reflect on their reading. We have regular sessions where we discuss our love of books and share our top reads.
