Spring Term

Year 3

What an exciting start to the Spring term we have had.

We started off on the first day of term with the Science Dome which introduced us to our new topic, Rocks, Relics and Rumbles.  Mr G told us all about the creation of the world, volcanoes and earthquakes.  It was so interesting.  We then returned to class and investigated a range of rocks to find if they were sedimentary, igneous or metamorphic.

We have been learning to write different forms of poetry around our new story, Death of a Pancake! Including onomatopoeia, alliteration and rhyming forms.

We were very lucky to have Ms Sherman talk to us about Chinese New Year and how she personally celebrates it.  She was very impressed with the questions that the children asked and their previous knowledge.

We have heard about Mental Health Shabbat and what an important subject mental health is and we all created posters to help our school community keep smiling every day, knowing there are others around who will always help us.

We have also been learning how to create a slide presentation in our weekly Computing lessons, and Kita Zayit was particularly lucky to have their own personal tutor, in the shape of Eitan to help them create a branching story of the Cinderella story.
